This is my favorite playlist for waiting in the TSA line. When others are getting all antsy, I can be in my happy place. Album art was made with a photo of Maripol’s Sade photo I made at Beyond The Streets in Los Angeles and a photoshopped font. My first website was called MyDefinitionOfCool; I graduated to League Of Super Producers in 2017 but have been bumping this playlist since way back then.
LEAGUE OF SUPER PRODUCERS VOL. 3
I make these playlists for me and my musical soul mates. The 111 song playlist is already road trip tested.
LEAGUE OF SUPER PRODUCERS VOL. 2
111 of my favorite new and old songs. Album art is a photo of one of my collages with photoshopped font.
80's
So many great 80s playlists to choose from but I love mine the most. Even though there was a ton of great Hip Hop in the 80s, this playlist focuses on the other stuff.
League of super producers Vol. 1
Finally changed the name of my playlists to reflect the evolved me. The one that already knows she’s “cool” and no longer needs to search for my own greatness. My ear for great music is so sharp that EAR are my initials and my last name is a jukebox brand. These are the songs that have brought me joy the last few months. I hope you find a new favorite song. This playlist is fully car tested and ready to 🎧.
The playlist art is a collage from my MF DALÍ collection and the lettering is an Old English font that I photographed with my iPhone and stretched with photoshop to fit the image. Love seeing my creations as album art; please reach out if you’re interested in a collaboration.
Vol. 2 MyDefinitionOfCOOL Playlist
The MyDefinitionOfCOOL series is created so I can overplay the new music I find enough times to know if the songs have the longevity to be added to my longer genre playlists. I still make these playlists for me but if you like them too, that’s f*ing awesome. I also love seeing my collage art on Spotify so that’s what that magic purple weirdness is. Since finding new favorite songs brings me maximum joy, it’s time to release this playlist into the wild and start digging for Volume 3. Since in an ideal universe we’d be compensating all these artists fairly for saving us with their music, I’ve also provided a list of links below to the merch sites of all artists included… listed A-Z. Since I have a music video encyclopedia, I’ve also compiled the playlist into two different YouTube MusicVideoPedia playlists… one for all the songs without official music videos and one for all the songs that have artist-approved visuals. Anyone who tells you there isn’t any great new music these days is NOT paying attention.
While researching all the links for this, I couldn’t help but notice that most of these artists need to step their merch game up. It’s giving me flashbacks from when I used to share music on a daily basis and hunt down artist links daily; an endeavor that never earned me a penny but led to every music-related opportunity that followed.
120 Minutes
Saturday night is a good a night as any to release my 120 Minutes Spotify playlist. I’ve been enjoying this for at least a year already and finally settled on the #MFDALÍ album art minutes ago. This is almost thirty hours of music that was on the MTV show 120 Minutes back in the day or would have been on it if it was still kickin’… curated exactly to my tastes as usual. Fortunately, the music AND the music videos remain as awesome as always. As one would expect from someone who made their own music video encyclopedia, I do have a 120 Minutes YouTube playlist also if you’re ready to experience the visual joy of 90s music videos and beyond.
For fans of The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Björk, INXS, The Cardigans, Underworld, Radiohead, Everything But The Girl, New Order, DJ Shadow, Jane’s Addiction, LCD Soundsystem, The Knife, Iggy Pop, MF DOOM, Tricky, Damon Albarn, and hundreds more.
Vol. 1 MyDefinitionOfCOOL
My newest playlist of the new(ish) songs I’ve loved enough to overplay already…
🌧Noctember🌧
By the time I release these playlists, I’ve already overplayed them severely. I can’t even keep track of how many hours I’ve spent (while delivering pizza) singing along to this “Gonna Love Me” remix in the car and laughing at myself while I slaughter the high notes and giggle at Method Man’s verse. So many good songs on here because I made the playlist for my own enjoyment. Most of the songs are new, some are new to me, and a few are throwbacks I’m having a moment with. I really love seeing my collages as album art and have every intention of keeping this up. I’ll likely turn this image into a sticker in the coming weeks because it will look damn good out in the world. This playlist has taken me a while to finalize because I’ve recently jumped back into the two job lifestyle to save money for my next adventure and haven’t spent too much time on my website. It was intended to be an October playlist, then a November playlist, and here we are at the fictional month of Noctember. May you find your new favorite song as I did… many times.
September Spotify Playlist
These days I’m aiming for the sky and marveling how close I get. This playlist was supposed to be 111 songs but I went for quality over quantity. Most of the songs are newly released but I’m having a moment with a Lootpack album and had to throw in some Aretha for good measure.
Adult Contemporary Jams
If we're gonna be 100% honest with each other, you were gonna find out eventually that I like some music I once thought to be embarrassing. Now that I'm 40, I'm just gonna go ahead and tell whoever is listening that I like Bruce Hornsby. If you don't understand Hornsby's draw or can't relate at all, that may just be because you're not 40 yet. As you age, you may find that there is a time and a place for every song you once thought was uncool and that you don't give a fuck if someone laughs at you for loving a song. We will all live better lives if we're able to embrace our inner Hornsby fan.
The playlist is mostly songs made in to 1970s-1990s but I did include some more current songs that I believe fans of the classic Adult Contemporary jams will also love. There will be an even more CONTEMPORARY adult playlist coming out in the next few weeks titled VH2018 that contains music I'd play on VH1 if I got to curate the videos (and they still played music). I've found this playlist to work extremely well on road trips and/or when you need an escape from your current reality. I will say that I'm not ashamed to love this music but that I strategically posted this playlist AFTER the Hip Hop playlist as to not let y'all get it twisted.
🎧Hip Hop🎧
I started this playlist back in 2015 and it has been steadily growing ever since. For awhile, it was the only playlist I created that had followers I wasn't related to but then last night I posted it on Reddit and gained almost 50 followers overnight. The playlist is a blend of Classic Hip Hop and the new generation's most talented artists. It has over 600 songs so far and I'll be updating it every time I find a new (or old) favorite song that fits the list. For fans of Outkast, Wu-Tang Clan, Madlib, Rapsody, 2Pac, J Dilla, Snoop Dogg, Statik Selektah, MF DOOM, Homeboy Sandman, Erykah Badu, Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, Jeremiah Jae, Redman, Nas, Evidence, Kendrick Lamar, and hundreds more...
✂️Make Something
This has been my go to playlist when it's time to make something or brainstorm ideas while driving since 2015 and it works every time. I've been updating it as I find new songs that fit the mix and have no plans of stopping. The playlist contains many different genres but will appeal most to fans of Tricky, Radiohead, DJ Shadow, Bonobo, Portishead, Gorillaz, Little Dragon, Madlib, Sevdaliza, and Rhye. I did make the above collage image I call "It's Always Sunset On Flamingo Island" while listening to the playlist.

May you find your new favorite song...
🚀 Inner Spacecruise 🚀
I created this playlist for introspective yet funky days (cuz all days should be funky). For fans of Sevdaliza, Mndsgn, Tricky, Madlib, Thom Yorke, and all things downtempo. Playlist image created with screenshots of space themed music videos.
🔥 New Hotness 🔥 →
A constantly updated playlist of mostly Indie R&B and Underground Hip Hop of artists not usually found in the spotlight (and some that are).
