I’m still creating analog collage characters for TheRingOfDOOM’s posse and I’m up to 379 characters in the collection so far. I’m also making stop motion animation videos starring TheRingOfDOOM and their friends that I’d love to have playing on screens at a character art show someday soon.
Recently I made a list of the next logical steps in all of my ongoing art projects and I realized I’m further ahead than I previously thought. My MF DALÍ zine that I’ve been working on/procrastinating for over a year is only a few 90 minute art blocks away from completion. I had also been putting off creating 4×6 analog collages starring my characters and TheRingOfDOOM and now I’ve made 22 and ordered a bunch of postcards of three of my favorite images. My plan for the postcards (and zines) is to send them to the galleries, museums, and record labels that I’d like to work with the most. Here’s hoping art postcards are more welcome than a cold email.
I’ve created my own momentum by doing at least one 90 minute block of one of my art projects every day and it feels great. Stay tuned to see what I make happen next.
