Now that I’ve been cutting up Salvador Dalí art books for seven years and created hundreds of surreal collage characters, I’m ready to flex what I’ve learned during the process. For my next project, I’m working on a diptych (two piece) analog collage currently titled “Day And Night In The Garden Of Surreal Delights” and it’s already challenging me to think outside the box. The collages don’t look like much now but I’ll share once I get more pieces glued. The plan is to create a surreal landscape out of thousands of tiny pieces of paper and insert little versions of my collage characters to finish the piece before I cover it in UV resistant epoxy resin.
The above collage character is officially number 321 in my collage character collection and it will not be the last. I’ve now made hundreds of stop motion animations starring the characters and I have no intention of stopping.
